MISSION WALK 2026 

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the Village Church of Bayville will be participating in Long Island East District of NYAC (part of the New York Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church) Mission Walk at Belmont State Park.

This year, the Missions Committee co-chaired by Chris Bartell and Pat Pileggi have helped choose a local mission...and that is to help the life and sight of a six year old boy named Sean Barry.

He has been diagnosed with a very rare disease called Rdh12 Leber Congenital Amaurosis (LCA) which affects vision and most young people will lose their sight completely by their late teens or early twenties.

Sean and his family are part of our community with family members who serve Bayville Fire Company No. 1, Inc. and Locust Valley Fire Company.

We are raising money for new gene therapy and clinical trials to help Sean and others like him as they race against time.
